Well, my sister and I took the Sensation out of Port Canaveral to the Bahamas, August 13, 2006. All in all a good cruise I would say. I am going to do a day by day rundown as that's how I remember everything.

Day 1 - Arrival -- We arrived at MCO (the airport), found the carnival rep easily, he instructed us to get our bags and then some back and see him. Once we had our bags he directed us down to the transportation people, on the bus and off we went. Painless. We got to the port at about 3pm, embarkation was a breeze. Sailed right through onto the ship. They said they were cutting off food at 4pm to do muster drills. But it was being served well past 4pm. We had burgers and fries on the Lido deck, tasty, hit the spot after travelling what seemed like all day. Muster drill was relatively painless and we were out in time to see sail off. We had the 830pm dinner seating in the fantasy lounge. Cannot remember exactly what I had but all the food was amazing. I cannot remember the name of the comedian that night but he was funny, we saw his family show and his R rated show, both entertaining.

Day 2 - Freeport -- Honestly, what a boring place to being in port for 9 hours. We paid the 10 roundtrip per person to get to the shopping area. Not much to buy, knock off purses, like Louis Vuitton, but still $400 US. We walked through the casino, I think the casino was better on the ship. Didn't go to the beach, started to rain so we went back to the ship. Didn't do much for the rest of the day. It was formal night, great dinner. I had the prime rib, my sister had the lobster. Then we saw the show, the dancing was a bit cheesy, and the female singer Kendall Lister has no sense of timing, she could not dance to save her life. Then we saw Percy Cruise, absolute comedy genius. We were rolling in the aisles. Great stuff on politics, race, religion but he made it all work without being offensive to anyone.
