Why Princess?

I started looking for a cruise last December. Originally I wanted to book with P&O, who we had been on a cruise with earlier that year. Unfortunately I had left it too late and the cabin availability to the destinations I wanted were not available. We did not want to travel to the Canaries as we had already been here with P&O and although the ship was excellent we thought the destinations were dull.

We required a suite or mini suite with an inland twin in close proximity as we like the space for my husband and myself and 19mth old baby plus a cabin for our 16 year old and his 15 year old cousin near by so we can keep an eye on them! So we searched for alternatives and Princess came up at a good price for a suite and inland room virtually next door. So I booked it. We did get a call from our travel agent two days before we were due to go on our holiday saying the boat was over booked and would we accept a full refund and a free cruise at a later date subject to availability. My husband was up for it, I was not as I had enough trouble finding this one so we said no. We got our correct cabins so I assume some people took up the offer, in hindsight we should have taken it, I would not be so disappointed if I had not paid for the holiday! Although I am sure the free holiday probably would have been in the lowest grade cabin they do.
