This was our 4th cruise on Princess, 5 cruises total, the extra one on RC Adventure of the Seas. We do love Princess so we will probably stay with that line. We have already booked the Baltics for next year.
We arrived in London on Thursday morning so we could spend some time in the UK before boarding our ship which departed on Sat. The flight over was uneventful (VA from JFK). Didnt want to waste any time so we started out sightseeing right away. London is a great city, very expensive. Took the tube and buses, transportation in the city very easy to follow and the people are very helpful when we werent sure what bus, train to take. Next day we rented a car, oh fun driving, those roundabouts are as crazy as we were told, but we managed and we drove to Windsor to see and tour the castle. That is a whole day in itself, but a MUST if youre in the London Area. Could have spent another few days in London, so much to see and do.
Saturday morning, up bright and early, couldnt wait to get to South Hampton to board the ship. Embarkation went well; we submitted our pre-cruise info on line so we went to the speedy check in line and were done in about 5 minutes. We were early so we had to wait to board the ship- about ½ hour. When we boarded the ship there were plenty of ship personnel there to direct us to our cabin. Dropped our carryons off in our cabin and headed straight for the Horizon Court, we were starving since we only had breakfast and it was past lunch time. We were met at the entrance of the Horizon Court by a very pleasant staff member who showed us the hand sanitizing lotion (these sanitizing lotions were all over the ship) which I was very glad to see. Who needs the Norwalk virus to ruin our trip? I was both happy and willing to use these lotions although I did notice some people ignored the request to sanitize before entering the dining rooms.
