We had a group of 8 adults in our party. We discussed several cruise lines and decided to take this trip only due to the itinerary. We had several members in our group that had traveled on the Princess lines and said we would not be happy. The itinerary won out. They were correct.

The boat looks tired, dingy and needs to have a major renovation. The staterooms have minimal storage space for an extend length cruise. The bathroom in our cabin had mold growing in it and on the back of the shower curtain when we arrived. The bed was like sleeping on a rock. The carpeting was threadworn at the entry to the room and you had to be careful when you walked out of the stateroom. Ironically they were trying to replace or repair it while we were at sea. The colors did not match. The towels should have been tossed overboard a few years ago. All in all the boat had a lousy presentation.

FOOD -- The meat as we had seem on past Princess cruises was very poor in taste and quality. The beef constantly tasted like liver covered with brown gravy. When I sent back my rib eye and asked to have it blackened or cajun seasoned they asked why I wanted my meat burnt. This probably would have been a better idea. After explaining to our waitstaff and the head waiter I was informed that all they could do was salt and pepper. It didn't work. We ALL ordered multiple meals to try to find something we liked almost every evening.
