We arrived in Barcelona very early on the day of sailing. We were met at the airport by Royal Caribbean and because it was too early to board the ship, we were given a two and a half hour tour of Barcelona. It was much too long after sitting for eight hours on a plane. It seemed endless but we eventually made our way to the pier and the embarkation process went quickly. We had used the online check-in. We were in the Windjammer having lunch by noon and in our cabins by one oclock.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. Our cabin was big enough considering we spent little time in it. We had a fantastic waiter, Andre and assistant waiter, Christian. They made dinner a special time, full of enjoyment. The food was good but the selection could have been better.

Our first port of call, Villefranche, was very nice. We were tendered and we had booked the Scenic French Riviera excursion through RC. It was very enjoyable. Livorno was next and again we booked a RC excursion. It was wine tasting and a lot of fun. We docked in Civitavecchia and had hired Benvenuto Limos before we sailed to take us to Rome for a 9 hour tour. We had also booked with them a 2 ½ hour tour of the Vatican Museums. I highly recommend Benvenuto Limos. They are extremely professional and very knowledgeable. After sailing through the Straits of Messina, we docked in Corfu. It was nice but we werent interested in walking around and exploring. Dubrovnik was next and a beautiful city. We walked around the wall and then did some shopping. Our next port was Venice and we were on deck for the hour long cruise along the city. We were so impressed by its beauty. We were docked over night which afforded us time to visit the city each day.
