Hello! We are fresh off the Mariner of the Seas. This group was only a mother and an 18 year old daughter. Embarkation was great. It went quickly despite long lines.

Our first concern when boarding the ship was heading straight to the Guest Relations desk as my mother had to work throughout the cruise and we needed the Cyber Cabin hookup that had been advertised as allowing you to be able to sign online during the cruise with your own laptop. We got it with no problem and took it to the room, and then we explored the ship and found the Windjammer. We were very impressed with the salad bar and all of the fruits available. Later when we did hook up the Cyber Cabin, it did work very well and we were able to sign online every day with no problems. It was slow but not too slow to bear and we have no complaints.

That night we went to the Dining Room. We were seated at a six person table with two older couples. The food was very disappointing. I had a watermelon gazpacho which had WAY too much celery in it, and we all ate Prime Rib, which was very fatty and not really that impressive. We did not ever return to the dining room because every day we checked the menu and the foods were a bit too exotic for us, they had lamb more than once, veal, mahi mahi...Nothing that sounded good. We were just disappointed with the dining room altogether, and we much enjoyed the Windjammer where we could eat at the buffet and pick and choose what we wanted...Also, the dining experience, we had late seating, and it was just too late to eat at 8:30 and then go see a show at 10:45. Now, to the shows. The shows were all fantastic. Ice Show tickets ran out right away, but we went that night and were able to get in by waiting in the standby line, unfortunately with very bad seats. We asked at Guest Services if there was any way we could get tickets for the second showing of it and they delivered two tickets to our room. The first night of the ice show was very crowded, everyone didn't seem to know that it would be on twice so they all ran to see it the first time. The show was spectacular. You will not be disappointed!
