Haven't done this before but here goes... I didn't pick the cruise or cruise line that we went on, my sister did. This was my first trip to Alaska and first time on an RCI ship. We arrived in Seattle along with 1100 other people and had to wait 2 hours to get our luggage. I was lucky enough to find a cruise line porter to take our luggage to the bus. It is almost a mile to the buses and is difficult to get there with your luggage. We were traveling with my parents, both in wheelchairs and the airport personnel were less than helpful.

Our check in at the cruise port went very well we sailed through with 2 porters to wheel my parents, it helped that we were in two Grand Suites. The ship is older and shows some wear but is very clean and comfortable. The Grand Suite is pretty big, I have only traveled in Ocean View or interior cabins. The bath tub is a little difficult to get in and out of when the boat is rocking but it worked fine. I was a little disappointed with the clutter that the room stewards left in the hall. For the whole trip there was a vacuum and a cleaning cart left outside our room.

While the Grand Suite is very nice I do not believe it was worth the price that we had to pay for it. We made sure we had a balcony room so that we would be able to view the glacier from our room. We found out after we had paid for the cruise that we would not be cruising a glacier. We went with 25 other people and it was impossible for us all to change cruises, oh well..
