On a scale of 1 to 6, I would rate the NCL cruise on the Pride of America a 4.5. My initial impression upon our arrival in Honolulu was how organized everything was. There were a lot of representatives available to show us our way to the bus that took us to the pier near the Aloha Tower.
The flights that NCL booked for us were the best times that we could have hoped for. We left LAX at 9am on Saturday and arrived in Honolulu before noon. We were booked on United and I was thrilled that they were using the 767s because the configuration is 2-3-2. Our return flight left Honolulu at 1pm and arrived a little ahead of schedule at 920pm. The transfer service was exceptional both ways and the buses were very comfortable and clean.
I should tell you that I am 50 years old and was traveling with my mother who was celebrating her 80th birthday later in the month. This was the first time that either one of us had cruised with NCL. We thought that the website made the ship look somewhat gaudy when it fact it was absolutely beautiful throughout. There was a great mix of patriotic themes as well as Hawaiian themes. Our housekeeper was exceptional and responded immediately to any special requests that we had.
