A good cruise for low dollars. I recommend it. Highs= TC playing guitar in the Mirage Lounge, comedians Gene Morola and Eddie Capone, Sensation Dancers Shows, food better than average, food availability, lots of deck area for lounging, friendly crew. Lows= Droning mechanical noise at 3 in the morning one night only, occasional slight sewage smell in cabin and outside in hall.

Ports of Call= Georgetown Grand Cayman and Cozumel Mexico. Georgetown requires a tender to get to shore. The docks can not accommodate large ships. Not a lot to do...typical souvenir shops augmented by jewelry, perfume, booze, Cuban cigars, and a ton of banks. I heard the "StingRay Experience" was good and the beach was nice. I just checked out the shopping area and went back to the ship because time was short.

Cozumel was next. You exit through a duty free shopping area into another shopping area by the dock. The big hype is the jewelry deals....personally a good shopper can do better in the states. Just because someone tells you it is a good deal doesn't mean it is. I priced several loose diamonds and found them to be higher than stateside. I also negotiated with several shops for fun and found the prices varied wildly. For example, a tennis bracelet came down from $1700.00 to $660.00. So buyer beware unless you are knowledgeable, you are going to get taken. The real shopping area is downtown which is a $6.00 cab ride from the dock. I found downtown shopping in Cozumel entertaining for about 20 minutes then the shop barkers posted every 20 feet get annoying. I recommend just going to the beach and relaxing. Another big attraction is Carlos and Charlies. It is a typical get drunk place. I've done the trip before at a Senor Frogs and one time is enough for me.
