Sail Date: Jul 2006

My husband and I first cruised on the Caribbean Princess just a few months after her debut in 2004. 2 years later, we were cruising again to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. The last time we cruised, we booked an AC and were upgraded to an AA. This time, we booked an AB with no upgrade =(

We left SW FL at 8:00 and made our way to Fort Lauderdale. We made our customary stop at Bass Pro Shops with a visit to the IGFA Museum next door (this is a must for fishing/hunting enthusiasts).

By the time we left our little detour and parked at port, I would estimate it was 11:30. The were still not admitting anyone in. However, it wasn't long before we were checked in and in our room. My guess is that we were in our room by 1:00 p.m. One thing I never saw mentioned for those of us who do not need to fly is the same security rules apply at port. You will go through a metal detector and they will keep pocket knifes, etc.
