Just to give you a short background.....this was my first cruise. However, I went with my family and they had been on several cruises so I'll run down a simple analysis. The check-in went very smoothly. We stayed at the Radisson in Cocoa Beach and they free parking and shuttle. No problems there. Once we got on board about half of our parties rooms were ready. No problem for us as we decided to have a few drinks. Me and my roommate (cousin's boyfriend) proceeded to our room which was on the Riviera deck (or as we liked to call it...steerage). The room was about what I expected which was fairly small with a window. Not too bad since we didn't spend a lot of time there. OK, anyway, here is my breakdown:

FOOD: The food onboard was absolutely wonderful at times. I got sick from the pizza the first night and decided not to eat there anymore. The buffets were ok but the grill and deli were simply wonderful. Lines at the buffet always seemed to move very fast. The dining at night, though was the best. We were in the Platinum Dining Room at 8:00. Sinan, our head waiter from Turkey was not only extremely helpful but also entertaining. We took his suggestions on everything about 90% of the time and he didn't miss a mark. Still hungry or want two appetizers, no problem with him, he would get you whatever you wanted.

FUN: Seeing as I am a single 34 year old male in the military, this is what I was looking for. Not too much for me to do. Spent some nights dancing the night away at the White Heat. One problem is that the majority of the singles that are in there are between the ages of 18-22. We had a lot of recent H.S. graduates there and it made for an interesting party atmosphere. They did have a meet the singles activity however, it was for 35+ so I kinda missed it by one year. The piano bar (Cinn-a-bar) with Lorraine was great and me and my family found ourselves there about every night singing along till 1am. The pools are ok and the shows are great. The casino can be very crowded in the evenings and is usually not a great deal anyway.
