This was our 1st time cruising and 1st trip to Canada. We are from NYC so the commute to and from the pier was a breeze via mass transit. After researching and living on Cruise Critic I was prepared for the best and worst of Carnival. To my surprise, the overall experience was FANTASTIC!!!

The ship was beautiful, huge and clean. It took us at least 3 days to get a handle on where things were located because the set up of the ship was confusing. There were two separate areas for dining (Atlantic and Pacific). We were signed up for the late seat dining which was fine. For the most part, we ate all meals in the dining rooms. The buffet food was okay but not as hearty and tasty as the dining room meals. We had a very fun and interactive group of people at our dinner table and we exchanged contact information to book a reunion cruise in 2 years.

One of dining mates invited us to their Suite for wine and chocolate covered strawberries. Their suite cabin was extraordinary with a huge balcony, Jacuzzi, Wet bar and sitting area.
