JUST returned from the June 24th sailing of the NCL Sun to Alaska ports. Had a great time but feel I must warn others of a few things beforehand. If you are interested mostly in great food, don't cruise this ship! Breakfast / Lunch/ same food every day for 7 days!! I kid you not! Caesar salads (very tasty at first) but after three days, you are looking around for variety! Main dining room food was very good in my opinion and I found something different each night. Speciality restaurant ADDAGIO was good but didn't feel like paying for other dining options as we were getting tired o eating anyway. Having said that, I really thought the crew on this ship was the best I have every been sailing with (RCL, PRINCESS and Celebrity) to compare to. The wait staff was very attentive, the management very approachable and responsive, housekeeping ok. (The cabin was not as clean as Princess but I mentioned it and it was corrected the first day)

Also, the Shows , especially the Jean Ryan dancer troupe, is TOP NOTCH entertainment!!!

Free style dining is fine, great if you don't want to dress up. I only missed my "own table" for formal night when we had to wait. Lobster and fish dishes were divine even in the free dining room.
