This may have been the worst vacation experience ever. We booked a cruise in July of 2005 for Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios through a travel agency (a truly horrible unprofessional agency). Upon making the final payment, we received a brand new IT listing Belize and Costa Maya, and Key West, Florida for ports of call. After several attempts to find out why the "bait and switch" routine from the agency in which we were sold one itinerary and received another itinerary, we contacted Carnival to get an explanation. They indicated that there was nothing they were willing to do because we went through a travel agency. Carnival immediately relieved themselves of any responsibility.

If this was not bad enough, our cabins were not grouped together. Although we booked early enough (1 year ago) and AS A GROUP, we were spread out all over the ship There were entire families traveling with our group and children were separated from parents, as a result of the cabins being spread out. Even after booking early, paying full price, explaining the need to have the cabins adjacent for the safety of children traveling, both the agency and Carnival attempted to do nothing about it, placing our cabins together as all group reservations should be placed.

If this was not bad enough, we set sail 2 - 3 hours late, waiting on some late passengers that failed to plan and planned to fail. The Itinerary: Although the itinerary was later enhanced with 2 additional ports of call, Cozumel and Nassau, the period of time you are allowed to spend at the port of call is next to none. The crew takes their slow time allowing you off the ships and demand that you are back on board one hour before sailing. This is no time to explore the various ports of call. I would rather have 2 days at 2 ports of call and really get an opportunity to tour the various cities.
