In gratitude for the reports from early cruisers on the Tahitian Princess, I have written the story of our own cruise for those who are still to sail. The review is long, 8 pages, because it includes details of the sort that helped me plan our trip. Hope this is helpful to you. We are a family of three: 50-something parents and 17-year-old daughter. I had rented a folding wheelchair for the trip.
Getting to Tahiti--June 1, 2003
We got up at 5:15 a.m. (the alarm wasn't turned on!) and left the house by 5:35 a.m. (amazing!!) to go to the Kalamazoo airport, to take the first of 3 airplanes. Total travel time = 21 grueling hours from house to hotel.
