This was our 1st cruise, so we have nothing to compare it to. I had a great time. Embarkation-We live 1 hour from Pt. Canaveral, so we were there by 11ish & on board, on the Lido deck with a drink in hand by noon. Super easy parking & check in. The line after we arrived was super long.
They tell you your room won't be ready until 1:30-It was ready before that. No problem-had an inside cabin right near the elevator-no noise from that at all. Steward was wonderful-kept our soda cooler filled with ice every day. His name is Tai. Our kids-daughter & boyfriend (17) & son-12-were in the cabin next to us, plenty of room. They didn't partake in Camp Carnival & just went & did whatever they wanted (within reason).
Ate dinner every night at the formal dining room. Waiter & waitress-Edgardo & Monika-were the greatest. Knew our preferences after the first day. Ate breakfast & lunch at Window by the sea-buffet. Decent enough food. You have to have an open mind with the dinners & be willing to try new things. The food was good on some nights & so/so on others.
