WEEK PRIOR TO EMBARKATION
My wife and I had spent the first five-day (Mon. through Fri.) taking the land portion of our Alaskan trip, visiting Fairbanks, Denali, and Mt. McKinley before boarding the Diamond Princess at Anchorage.
After staying overnight at the Captain Cook Hotel, Anchorage, we were escorted to the dock in a Princess motor coach, making one stop en route at the Native Heritage Center.
