Mariner of the Seas Review

Mariner of the Seas - Western Caribbean

Review for the Western Caribbean Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

Let me start by saying that I LOVE THIS SHIP. We have taken 2 cruises on her & I would love to go back again. Our first ever cruise was on her in 4/04 and we went back with our teenage son and other relatives in 2/05. Both were in the Western Caribbean. I can't say enough about the staff and service.

Our first trip was a belated honeymoon trip and all I can say about the trip was that it was magical. It was hands down the best, most relaxing vacation that I have ever taken. Our waiters in the dining room were awesome and made us laugh thru dinner every night. Two years later I can still remember their names because they made such an impression, Robertas & John. They worked incredibly well together and you could tell that they genuinely got along and enjoyed working together (seamlessly I might add).

On this trip we did have a balcony room and it was worth every penny. I loved falling asleep listening to the waves crashing against the ship. The only suggestion that I would make is to book your balcony room toward the middle to back of the ship. We were right near the front elevators and every morning we had a salty dew on the entire deck so we had to wipe down the chairs/railing if we wanted to have our coffee outside or watch as the pulled her into the dock (got some AWESOME pics as we were leaving Cozumel of the reef under the dock - so shallow you could make out the reef & fish). Our room was beautiful and had plenty of space for everything to get put away. We also really liked their interactive TV because we could check it every night and keep an eye on spending to avoid any big surprises at the end of the trip. This was especially nice on the 2nd trip because we could keep track of what our son was spending and reign him in as needed.
