Just for reference, I'm 25 years old and this was my second cruise with Princess. My first was back in 2002, and my family and I enjoyed it so much, we decided to go on another cruise with Princess. I vacationed with my brother, father, my father's girlfriend and her two children.
We left May 26 from Washington D.C. We stopped in Atlanta for the night and took the first plane out the next morning to Ft. Lauderdale. On the flight from D.C. to Atlanta, they lost my father's luggage. United Airlines (BIG SURPRISE). Had to wait an hour before a baggage claim attendant got to her office. We ended up having to go back at midnight to get his luggage. Horrible experience, but at least it happened the day before and not the day of the cruise.
We got a taxi from the airport. However, because we had so much luggage and six people all together we had a little trouble getting a taxi van and another taxi for all of us. Only took about ten minutes though, so it wasn't bad at all. It was much cheaper than planning it through the cruise line.
