Let me start this by noting that we were supposed to sail on the Star Princess, but due to the tragic fire onboard, our cruise was cancelled. We were able to rebook on The Mariner of The Seas that was leaving the same day.

We flew in a day before the cruise so that our group, 5 of us all together, would have some time to relax from traveling. We had a suite booked at The Radisson Resort at The Port in Port Canaveral. We shared the suite, splitting the cost. It was very roomy, very clean, and we were very impressed!

They have a shuttle to the port the next day, and also had a shuttle in the evenings, available to take to nearby restaurants, which we did. It was recommended to us that Fishlips at the pier nearby was a good place to eat. They were right on! We enjoyed a delicious dinner, and a short walk around to other places on the pier. We were able to call the shuttle when we were ready to head back to the Hotel.
