I recently traveled aboard the Majesty of the Seas on the June 5th, 2006 sailing to the Bahamas. There were four people total in our group, all in our mid-twenties, 2 first time cruisers, 1 on their third and this was my sixth RCCL cruise and 3rd time on Majesty.
Pre-Arrangements
We opted to fly down a day early and stay over night in Miami to ensure we were there on time with our baggage. However, flights into Ft. Lauderdale tend to be much cheaper than flights into Miami so we flew into Ft. Lauderdale and then took a half hour taxi ride to Miami. It worked out to be about 20 dollars a person, which was still much cheaper than the extra 100 dollars per plane ticket it was going to cost to fly into Miami. We stayed at an inexpensive Days Inn about ten minutes from the port and the hotel offered free shuttles back and forth on the morning you were leaving so that you didn't have to pay for a taxi.
