When I worked in the architectural field years ago, the projects I worked on grew larger and larger until I found myself standing in a 47,000 square foot home. Bigger is only better if there is a lot of human scale intimate thinking on the drawing board backed up by great talent. What I found onboard Freedom of the Seas, was exactly the kind of design talent with the customer centric thought that is required to not only take my breath away, but to make me feel the excitement of a young child with the privileges of an adult! How can only a few words get a rope around this experience? Talk about indulgent! Imagine lying in your luxurious bed (the first ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet with upgraded plush mattresses and linens) and ordering complimentary room service with your remote control on your flat screen TV! That's only where your morning starts in any size cabin. The wide corridors give you plenty of room to walk to elevators that take you to something wonderful on all of 15 Decks.

The heart of the ship is the Royal Promenade, a three football field long "mall" of shops, restaurants, coffee shops and pizzerias that entice you at every turn. Sorrento's pizza parlor (complimentary) has not only cheese pizza's, but gourmet pies like Seafood Pizza topped with shrimp, calamari & muscles.

The Fitness Center made even me want to exercise! Treadmills & bicycles had individual flat screen TV's. Unbelievable!
