Our local Lions Club used this cruise as a fund raiser. We wound up with 36 people on the cruise and raised close to $4,000 for charity.

10 of us decided to do 6 days pre cruise in Spain. We booked a flight from Washington, DC to Newark and then Madrid going over and Barcelona to Newark to Washington, DC returning. We wound up leaving so late we could not make our connection in Newark to Madrid so we wound up flying to Paris and then to Madrid. It added several hours to our travel time over and we were really beat the first day in Madrid.

We stayed in a nice 4 star hotel near the train station. We did a half day tour of Madrid and then a full day tour of Toledo. The weather was very nice the entire 18 days and the tours were everything we dreamed they would be.
