I took my 19 year old daughter for her first cruise and she really enjoyed it. This was a last minute deal that I got through email and it was money well spent. Even though the ship just goes to Florida and the Bahamas, since it leaves from NYC I was able to take a commuter train to the port (no airfare).

Embarkation left a lot to be desired. The lines were pretty long and things seemed disorganized. Once I realized that there was a special line for returning cruisers, it went a little faster.

Our inside cabin was what I expected. The beds were a little smaller and much harder than I'm used to, but I made due. Also we asked our steward for some extra padding the 3rd night and that helped. Read more
