My whole party was really excited about this trip which was planned 8 months in advance. A month before the sail date we began encountering difficulties with our documentation paperwork. After 2 weeks of calls we received our documentation. With that out of the way we thought it would be smooth sailing from there.

NCL had arranged for our flights with a layover of 1 hour in Chicago which was not enough. We missed our flight which delayed our arrival in Honolulu therefore missing the embarkation time by 30 minutes. NCL was aware of 7 people coming in and did not hold the boat.

The next morning we flew to Maui and met the ship but had missed all of the embarkation orientation and ability to book additional shore excursions. Once aboard the ship we were shown to our cabin which we had upgraded to a penthouse, thank goodness, as the regular cabins were quite small.
