I am so excited to enter this review, My husband and I just got back this morning from our week long cruise to the Western Caribbean. WOW! what a trip, it is incredible. We where there to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary, and the first cruise for the both of us. I am 28 and my hubby is 35. We have two children 13&11 and we did not take them. It was for rest and relaxation and celebration.
We booked a room at the Comfort Inn on Stirling Road. It was $72.00 a night booked quite some time ago. It worked and did the trick for what we needed. The room was freshly painted the sheets were clean and the towels and shower were clean, what more can you ask for? We flew in the day before to make sure all was in order (luggage, transfers and all). I needed to do that for my piece of mind.
We went to the ship at around 2pm. We were in our room and looking around by about 2:25pm. I understand why people get there early but let me tell you, you will have plenty of time to look at the ship, roam the ship, and be in your room. In my opinion there is no need to rush, there was a little line but nothing that was irritating. We filled out the info on line like they ask you to do. When you get there you are in a big building, (no restrooms fyi) there are desks with all of the deck names on them, you will find your deck and go to that line. They will need your passport and booking tickets. They will then give you your cruise card with your name on it and away you go up the gangway, they do a quick picture, (you will get a lot of those) and up you go.
