This was our forth cruise, the second with Carnival Cruise Lines. Needless to say, it will definitely be our LAST cruise with Carnival! We were a party of 14 and booked this cruise in August 2005 requesting that we all be together. Four couples had balcony cabins at one end of the ship and three couples had inside cabins at the other end of the ship. We could not have been further apart. There was another couple put in between the balcony rooms so we were unable to open all of our adjoining doors on the balcony.

We had assigned seating times and felt rushed - get us out so they could prepare for the next seating. However, the waiters we had were very friendly. The food was okay but nothing fantastic.

We can't say enough good about the room stewards. They went above and beyond and always greeted us with a smile - so very friendly. However, the bar tenders and staff in the dining areas other other then the evening dinner, were unfriendly and some even rude. Quite often there would only be one bartender at each bar and when we were finally waited on, they would stare at us as if to say "what do you want?" No wonder their gratuity is already added onto the bill. This was the first cruise where people didn't come around to us taking drink orders during the day while lying in the sun. If we asked for someone, they would eventually show up. The people working in the gift shops on the ship were probably the most rude people we have met. They obviously do not like their job.
