Traveled with children

My wife and I traveled with our children (11 and 12). It was my first cruise and my wifes second (she had been on the Adventure of the Seas two weeks prior to our cruise - lucky dog!). I had never wanted to go on a cruise before thinking that I would be bored. Boy was I wrong.

Travel To Port of Embarkation - We flew into FLL and were met by a family member. The drive was short and we were dropped off. The porters were friendly, but went a little over the top in letting us know that a tip was not required but appreciated.

Stateroom - We splurged and took a balcony. I am so glad we did. There was a Pullman bed and a sofa that turned into a double; the set up worked out great. The shower was smaller that I expected, but the massaging shower head made up for it. Our stateroom attendant was very helpful - we were looking for water to fill our water bottles one morning. She took the bottles and had them filled for us. The room was cleaned while we were at breakfast and turned down before we returned from dinner.
