Two forty something girlfriends and I decided to try a cruise. I have never been on a cruise but one of my friends had. We decided on the Sensation (out of Port Canaveral) at the time because we liked the itinerary. It was switched to the Fantasy, which didn't really matter to us as long as we got to go. I booked the cruise through Carnival without any problems. Thank you to everyone for all of the great ideas along the way!!

Pre cruise - Flew into Orlando, we stayed 2 nights at Disneys Caribbean beach - shopped and went to the parks and had a ball.

Day one - We had rented an Avis car - was only $87 for the 48 hours where just a bus for the 3 of us would have been $75 so it was a good deal. We drove down in the morning because we were worried about highway closures from brush fires in the area. Actually saw burned areas and fire trucks along the highway and could smell the smoke. The road was ok, though and we arrived at the port about 10:30. We had lots of time so went shopping at a local mall - loved Macy's - lots of cute shirts. Dropped my friends and our luggage off at the port about 1:00. Drove the car to the local Avis a couple miles away and they gave me a ride back. Read more
