Leaving NYC was a bit long due to the fact that the Legend was an hour late getting back but the time flew by, we were on the ship by 1pm with drinks in hand! Two 1/2 days @ sea may be a long time for 1st time cruisers to and from NYC? I, on the other hand enjoyed all 8 days! The food was great as well as the dining room service....although it felt like the last night in Truffles was not A+ service like I encountered prior, I do not know why?

Did I mention the ear bleeding COUNTRY MUSIC all over the ship? I thought this was a Caribbean Cruise? Carnival needs to pipe in some island music....please! If I had to eat breakfast in the Unicorn Cafe one more time I think sticking needles in my eyes would be more fun!

San Juan was actually a decent port compared to what others have posted on the web....go with an open mind because your vacation will be what you make of it. St. Thomas was just as nice, we rented a Jeep for the day @ only $75.00 and went shopping downtown where the tents were....bargain city, t-shirts 4 for $10.00! Then we drove to Drake's Seat for pix and then on over to Megan's Bay for a swim. We took the Jeep around the whole island and back to the ship with plenty of time left before we headed out again.
