This was our first ever cruise, so we did not have anything to compare it with. A friend is an agent with a major cruise booking company, and he recommended Century as being the best for our life style. He was certainly right.
Our embarkation in Fort Lauderdale was seamless. How they can get this many people on a ship in a three hour or so period without huge lines and much complaining in the hot sun is beyond me. The champagne at the top of the gangplank was an unexpected and wonderful welcome.
After finding our cabin, we went upstairs for lunch. The food was truly wonderful, but the lines at the buffet soon became rather long and cumbersome. If you wanted seconds of something, it was just too much effort to wait in the long lines to get a new plate.
