After having read the reviews posed here I was a little leery about NCL's Pride of America. I have to say I was worried for nothing! This was a wonderful ship and cruise experience (not our first either).
With few exceptions the wait staff was very good. The food in the main dining rooms and Aloha Cafe was okay, but the specialties were excellent and the staff was quite a bit friendlier. The freestyle dining is nice, even though it does help to have reservations ahead of time.....it's nice to not have to share a table with the same people night after night and to be able to choose a dinner schedule each day based on your excursions. If you know how to plan this will be a wonderful experience.
Our stateroom was very nice...clean and well kept. We don't let the little things get us down. Our cabin steward was very nice and did an excellent job.
