VOYAGER OF THE SEAS -Eastern Caribbean Review (29/4/06-6/5/06)
We returned May 6/06 from our first cruise. Here are some thoughts:
CABIN : Aft Jr Suite # 7392 Cabin was a very good size & we were pleasantly surprised. Bathroom big enough & good storage space in cabin for 3 peoples things & we took WAY too much stuff. Aft balcony was HUGE and wonderful. Watched the sunrise coming in to several ports. Spent time just staring at the incredible turquoise blue wake. Seas were rough the first 3 days and the noise in the cabin was terrible. Rattling, shaking, shimmying and a roaring sound from the engines. We wore ear plugs but found it very hard to sleep. Dresser drawers were opening and closing all night until we learned to hold them shut with tape. Couldnt get foam for the bed but steward brought a feather comforter & put under the sheets which was nice. Our son slept on the pull out which was pretty hard and was shaking from the vibrations. Steward brought 2 single mattresses and put on top of the pullout mattress. This helped a lot but we had to keep the couch pulled out into a bed the whole time. We still had plenty of room.
