This was a very NICE cruise. I can't say enough of the staff and cruise director "Shona". Everything ran smooth at check-in. We were on the ship by 12:30PM on 4/29. The buffet was excellent including a great salad bar. I liked the salad olives that went in the salad, it was a nice touch. The staff was extremely friendly, including our cabin steward. The room was plenty big and the shower worked great. It has a safety feature for the hot water which was a nice touch. The TV sounded a little tinny, they could have used better TV's. But who goes to watch TV???
We booked meals at the Lazy-J steakhouse and meals were better than any restaurant that I have been to. The filets were great. We went their 2 times. The Liberty Rest. which is free was the most eye appealing of all the restaurants. The chairs were extremely comfortable to sit in. The wait staff again were excellent. The Cadillac grill I thought was great for breakfast as it was not crowded and you could order what you wanted.
The Hawaii Islands were beautiful and if you go on one trip in your life you should go do this. It is the most cost effective way to see the islands. If you buy your meals on shore, be ready for sticker shock. We rented a car and took the "Road to Hana", wow what a neat view. Be warned their is approx. 40 one-way bridges, so if you are not up to that do not book this tour. We also booked the Highlights of Oahu tour on the last day, and that to was excellent the young man who told was the tour guide knew everything, and he deserved the tips everyone gave him. Plus the bus dropped us off at the airport, which was nice.
