Traveled with children

This was our 5th cruise with children. Their ages are 10 & 12. We are in our early 40s I can't say enough about the kid's camp. They loved it, loved it and met some other great kids. the counselor's were fun and wonderful. They could not wait to get there every morning.

The arrival at the pier was chaos. It was a busy Wednesday morning and tons of construction downtown. We arrived at the pier at 11:30 cleared customs and on the ship by 12:50. Our wine was taken at the pier and we were assured we could arrange to have it delivered to the restaurant of our choice when needed. We were not smuggling this wine it was in our carry on and we knew of the corkage fee. Not a problem but this was a bit of a hassle as once on the ship the restaurants had not heard of this. It worked out in the end and our bottles were returned. The food was I would say an 7 out of 10. Having travelled on the Princess, Holland, and Royal. I would give it a 7. The main dining rooms dishes lacked the little extras the other ships just offered on a regular basis for free. All in all by no means a big problem. I was on vacay for 10 days and did not need to cook.

The itinerary was perfect. I would not change a thing. 2 days of down time. (a gazillion activities on the ship if you wish to participate or just people watch by the pool with a drink listening to the band. Something for every one. A great way to ease into a holiday.)
