Ports of Call: San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Grenada, Aruba, Isla Margarita

We left Charlotte early on the morning of the 22nd. It was raining and the weather reports were calling for thunderstorms that day. We arrived in San Juan around 11:00 and it was raining there. We grabbed our luggage and a cab and got to the pier around 11:20. When we pulled up we were shocked at the number of people waiting outside. We thought they were waiting to get in, but as we found out later, there had been a taxi strike that morning and these people were still waiting for cabs! Im sure some of them missed their flights.

Check-in process: We had express check-in, which doesnt mean much. We were instructed to get in a line that listed about four decks including ours. All the other lines only had one deck with two windows serving them. Our line had only one window&we were in line about an hour. The hold up was the number of decks put in this line, one window serving it, and we had to wait for all the people who had not done all the pre-cruise stuff! Express check-in&right.
