Got a great deal because of military discount. Have cruised many different lines for 14 cruises.
THE GOOD - Food very good. Service excellent, staff pleasant Beds super comfortable- Loved that "comfort" bedding- bought 2 pillows after returning home Clean ship- nice and new well maintained Cayman, Cozumel and Costa Maya nice ports- esp- Costa Maya Embarking and debarking great- Esp. disembark at end- super quick job Cruise Director excellent Carnival Dancers and production numbers real good Captain Party good Main theatre seating very good Cabin good- good size shower- Balcony small but nice
THE NOT SO GOOD -Worst thing was the smoke in Casino and Gotham Lounge (incl cigar smokers). Each on a different deck and in main thoroughfares so could not avoid going thru one or the other many times per day especially going from aft to bow between theatre and main dining room. Other ships have the smoking lounge in it's own secluded area and some the casino also. Poor layout on part of Miracle. Others complained too and also some on sister ships with same problem. -Tender service in Cozumel super slow due to using very large tender and too few tenders and had to wait forever to fill. (this may have been caused by the hurricane destroying most local tenders- not sure) -Too many comedians (at least 4 counting the Hypnotist) Only one was pretty good- rest mediocre to poor. Juggler OK. Singer OK. Have been on several other Carnivals and entertainment has been far superior. As mentioned above the ship's dancer productions number teams was superb. -Gaudy main restaurant -Red/Blue/White team competition- never explained clearly. Didn't make sense and didn't feel team spirit since we never knew who was actually on our team -Atrium was OK but not that large for such a big ship and not all that impressive- no spectacular spiral staircases, etc.
