We travelled on the Norwegian Jewel to the Eastern Caribbean as from April 9 from Miami. first of all, we loved the ship. very new, lot of space. although the ship was fully booked with 2800 passengers, you never feel crowded. We booked a balcony cabin on deck 10 and found it great, enough space, lovely balcony with 2 deck chairs and a nice bathroom with separated toilet and shower. All the public rooms are perfect, enough space to find a silent corner. Restaurants: Food in all restaurants was very good, we had dinner in the main restaurant Tsars Palace only once. All other nights we spent at Cagney Steakhouse and Mammas Italian restaurant. Both worth the 15 dollars extra. Staff is perfect everywhere, but staff in the speciality restaurants is absolutely special. Make sure you meet the Indian waiter Fortuso in Cagney restaurant, she is the very best we ever met. Service all over the ship is perfect, room maid forms animals of towels every night, we loved this.

we did shore excursions on every island except the private NCL island. In our opinion you should skip the tours on Puerto Rico. Since the ships stops right in old town, you might walk around by yourself. we booked the old and new San Juan city tour and left it in between since we found it rather boring. We would also skip the beach trip on Antigua. They bring you to the same beach the taxis go, its totally crowded and except the free BBQ and 2 drinks they try to rip you off.

We loved the St. Thomas Island tour, was really very entertaining, you go in open trolley buses, great views. we also loved the NCL private island, yes, its crowded, but there are also so many silent places, you just have to walk 2 minutes.
