Arrival-Had a great time on this cruise, but that was because of the friends I cruised with and the people we met on board the ship, not because the ship was great.
We booked our airfare through Carnival and that was good because it was nice not to worry about being late getting to the ship and what not. Getting onto the boat was fine no problems we arrived to board around 4:30pm and even though the lines were very long to check in it went fairly fast. Disembarking from the ship however was a nightmare; since we booked our air through Carnival we assumed they would have known they booked us a flight at 1245pm. Since they call you by color, we waited. They tell you to wait on the 5th or the 9th floor, but you cant hear the announcements on the 5th so we went to the 9th and had breakfast and waited. Since it was approaching 9:30am and we had yet been called to wait in the theater to get off the boat we went to complain to the information desk. There they told us we should have had a different colored tag, since it was fast approaching the time we need to be at the airport, they rushed us through and got us to the airport on time. But I do feel bad for the others that had to sit and wait even after their color was called in the theater area. I hope they got off to their flights on time!
Room-We had an inside Lido deck room that was nice, have cruised before so I knew ahead of time that rooms were tiny. Not overly impressed with them having a shower curtain in the bathroom, considering I could just imagine the last time it was changed, but oh well. Our room steward was AWESOME, very friendly, and accommodating, defiantly the most pleasant Carnival employee we came in contact with. He defiantly exceeded my expectations for a room steward.
