We are seasoned cruisers. So far our favorite cruise line is Royal Caribbean. We took a short get away cruise from Tampa.

Embarkation was so easy. Nice port to go out of. The Grandeur was nicely designed, but her age is starting to show. The fact that it was spring break and lots of drunk kids was on board didn't help her worn look. It was complete mutiny. Parents appeared to encourage the children to get drunk. The ship was trashed. I think the crew gave up trying to keep the ship clean after the second day. Every pool and hot tub was taken over by kids. The solarium which is for adults was even taken over. Another thing that was disturbing was the pool deck attendants. We had our stuff on a lounge chair as we was enjoying the hot tub. Thank god for the woman next to us. As the attendant was about to take our stuff and put it in a plastic bag, she told him that we were in the hot tub. I guess the new thing if you are not in your chair your belongings will be taken away. This practice must be stopped.

The food was okay. Service was average. Our room was small. I woke up with back pains every morning. The shows were mediocre. Cozumel was fun. We went to Passion Island. Awesome place. This cruise didn't measure to the other Royal Caribbean cruises we have been on. In any case we look forward to the Freedom of the Seas in November.
