My husband and myself, late 30s, cruised on Carnival Liberty from 4/8/06 to 4/15/06 and thought it was a great ship with a terrific itinerary. We were very pleased with the services provided and the crew we interacted with.
EMBARKATION -- We arrived at the port at approximately 12:15 pm, dropped our luggage with the porters, checked in at the VIP desk, went through security, had our Sail and Sign card photos taken, and were in the ships atrium within a span of approximately 10 minutes total. We made our way to the Lido deck, enjoyed the lunch buffet, and headed to our cabin at 1:30 pm to drop our carry on bags and check out our home for the next 6 days.
CABIN -- We were in a category 11 suite which was just lovely. The cabin contains a large bathroom with a double sink, Jacuzzi tub, and plenty of storage space. Just outside the bathroom is a dressing area with a large dressing table & storage and a large armoire/closet. The main part of the cabin contained a large desk with storage & mini-bar below and bar shelving with glasses above, a large full wall storage unit containing more storage, the safe, a large armoire/closet, and the television. A comfortable daybed/couch and armchair surrounded the coffee table and the king sized bed was flanked by two storage cabinet end tables. Plenty of adjustable lighting could be found throughout the cabin however there were only a few accessible power outlets. The far wall was a bank of windows that surrounded the door to the balcony, which contained two recliner chairs, a straight back chair, and a small table.
