Just got off the Legend of the Seas 4/8/06 sailing to the Western Caribbean. This was only our second cruise, the first being last year on HAL's Ms. Ryndam.

On the Legend of the Seas, the service and staff were great. Food in the Windjammer was what you would expect for a buffet, but the food in the Romeo and Juliet dining room was very good.

We traveled with 3 boys ages 9, 12 and 16. We did not book any ship excursions because according the the age restrictions, our 9 year old was too young for most of the excursions we were interested in. So we booked independent tours all our our excursions, such as Cave tubing, snorkeling etc.. with no problems at all and at half the price.
