We are first time cruisers on the Princess Line - mid 50s celebrating 30 years of marriage - just the "two" of us on this vacation. The only other cruise we have done is NCL Boston/Bermuda which cannot compare to this ship/itinerary.

Flew from Boston/San Juan direct flights on Saturday morning arriving SJ at 11:30 am - used Princess Transfers which were fairly easy to find and straight to the ship - embarkation was fairly easy - waited maybe 20 minutes in line for our deck. After check-in went directly to our cabin to drop off our carry on's. Met our steward and asked for an egg crate for the bed and about our "robes" which were not there. Headed to he buffet for lunch. We planned to disembark and tour "old town" but a sudden shower kept us on board and we chose to explore our home away from home.

We had booked a guaranteed outside cabin midship on Plaza (deck 5) - and were upgraded to Emerald (Deck 8) forward-it was away from hallway traffic so nice and quiet but farther away from most things (buffet, dining rooms and main pools) Our steward was just okay - failed to bring some of our excursion tickets and we had to go looking for them - never got our robes but didn't really need them), forgot to leave beach towels on several ports and had to ask for them.
