This was our first cruise on Carnival. We had chosen this cruise based more on itinerary rather than cruise line. I wish we had chosen differently. We are in our early 30s and were looking for a nice, relaxing trip away from work. We got A Floating Carnival instead.

The ship overall was in good shape. I could go on about the tacky decor in the Playa Grill and the buffet area in general but that has been addressed already in other reviews.

The nitty gritty: If you want to have a nice, leisurely cruise do not book during Spring Break. There must have been 1000 children from 5 months on. All seemed to be unsupervised and running amok. You would enter an elevator and one of the kids inside would hit all the buttons on their way out.
