We drove to Galveston and it was a 12 hour trip. A wonderful trip through Alabama, Miss., La and Texas. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Texas City, 15 miles from Galveston. The best bed I have ever slept on in a hotel. Wonderful, restful night.

The embarkation was very easy and painless. We got in our cabins by 1:00 and the luggage was in the room by 3:30 and dinner was at 6:00, main seating. We had wonderful waiters and the best Maitre d' we ever had. He was from Turkey and just got on board on this trip. We had wonderful dinner companions. One couple from California and the other from Canada. It made the trip even more enjoyable.

The first night we had 20 foot waves and I became ill. I should have taken Bonine before getting on the ship, but forgot. I didnt expect the high waves. I felt better the 2nd day and remembered my pill every night& The weather was wonderful from then on.
