We decided to have an early Christmas. I work overseas and travel a lot, so you take what you can when you can. This was our 4th cruise on RCCL. We arrived in Miami a couple of days early. Bad Mistake. We stayed at the Best Western Oceanfront on Collins Avenue. Not the best choice. Room was booked 2 months in advance and they did not have it ready and then gave us the wrong room. The closest place to eat, was 6 blocks away. We won't do that again.

Embarkation -- PLEASE fill out the forms BEFORE you get there. Things go so well when you take the time to prepare. We could not have asked for a better experience. We had a 20 year old with us and even he was impresses.

Room -- We had a Junior Suite. EXCELLENT choice. This was the first time we had a balcony. If you can do it, make sure you get a balcony. The extra space is well worth it. Granted, the balcony is small, but you definitely utilize the heck out of it. The room had enough storage for our clothes as well as the dive gear bag I had brought. The staff was excellent. He made sure we had all the things we needed and our bags arrived about an hour after we were on the boat. The Ship -- She was showing her age in several places. Carpets were discolored, but we never smelled any sewage problems. I kept getting confused as to how to get around, but there were maps in every elevator portal. Of course we lost money at the casino, but my son won, so that was a wash. We really enjoyed the shows, Comedian was CLEAN and very enjoyable. Kinda nice to have a late evening comedian that wasn't using curse words to invoke humor.
