Traveled with children

We traveled from Wichita, Kansas, approx. 660 miles. We stayed in Dallas the first night then onto Galveston. I traveled with DH, DD (22), DD (17), DD friend (17), DS (15), DD (10). We had an Aft JS 8084, 3 kids were in a superior Inside (8079) and the 17 year olds were in a closet interior (8555).

We arrived in Galveston, very overcast, windy and sprinkling. Getting into the terminal was fine. There were Plenty of porters. We went thru security, it was very easy. I didnt need to take off jewelry or belts. I also had a cooler full of pop and water and they never looked at it.

Check in was very fast. No waiting in lines, plenty of staff waiting to help. We went to our rooms and they were ready. It was approx. 1pm. I had ordered decorations and a cake for the 17 year old since this was her graduation gift. Her room looked great!! We were so happy with our suite and will never sail with out a aft JS. The only thing we were disappointed in was the bed. We asked for an egg crate mattress to be put on it and when we came back from the muster drill it was done. Every night we had a new towel animal. We rarely saw our room steward, but he did a fine job.
