Where do I start? This is my second cruise. My first was on Celebrity. I knew that this cruise was not going to be of the same caliber as Celebrity, but I was not expecting what we got. Embarking was a breeze; we were drinking by 12:30. We got upgraded to an outside stateroom which was nice. My boyfriend and I were just excited to be on vacation, and we can have fun in a paper bag together, which carried us through the week, no help from carnival.

Rooms/DEcor: This boat needs a face lift. We felt like we were in a bad 70s disco. Our bathroom tiles didnt look like they had been cleaned for quite a while. The one garbage pail is nailed to the wall all the way under the sink, not very accessible. There also was no plug in the bathroom to dry my hair or anything else. I couldnt tell you who our steward was, I think she said hi to us in the hall all week, but I couldnt be sure. I will say that our room was cleaned and tidy every time we came back breakfast/excursions. I know that carnival is known for loud dEcor and themes, but this boat really needs some work.

Entertainment: The cruise director Matt was great; he had more energy than the entire staff on this boat. He appeared to be the only person happy to work for Carnival and it wasnt painful for him to interact with the guests like some of the other crew we ran into. The male dancers are great and the two lead singers are as well. My boyfriend teaches 5th /6th graders who dance better than the ladies on this boat. The first night show was painful to watch. The comedian was not that funny and we heard the R rated show wasnt much better. The Broadway show redeemed the lady dancers; this was probably the best of the shows. The piano bar was nice as well as the casino. We do not enjoy pool games, but they were fun to watch.
