I had the pleasure of traveling to Hawaii with my two sisters. We planned this trip over a year ago and did a lot of research, so we felt that everything went perfectly. I had read all 105 review for Pride of America before we left, so I was a bit worried about how the cruise would be. I travel extensively and do realize that things may not always be perfect. That being said, we felt that our cruise was perfect. Now for details.

We booked a pre-cruise package in Honolulu through NCL and stayed at the Marriott. We had a ten hour flight from Atlanta and arrived at 9PM on Thursday. We took a cab to the Marriott and were warmly greeted. Our stay there was great from accommodations to restaurants. We were able to pre-register at the NCL desk there which was very helpful and saved time. NCL provided transportation to the ship on Saturday. On Friday we did the Pearl Harbor and City tour and then relaxed in the PM. I strongly suggest coming in at least two days early.

Embarkation was very easy, (I have been on other cruises where it was a long process) and we were on board and in our cabins by 1:00 PM. Our cabin was immaculate and our cabin steward did a great job throughout the cruise. We tipped her extra, because we were so pleased. There was a nice buffet at the Aloha Cafe which we enjoyed. Our travel agent had tried to make dinner reservations for us, but they did not come through. Thanks to cruise critic, I knew it was essential to take care of this. We went to Little Italy and met Michael-a delightful young man- who made all of our reservations for the week while we waited.
