Ship Facts: Carnival Imagination Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Imagination Deck Plans
Carnival Imagination - Western Caribbean
This was our 7th cruise, our third for Carnival. Arrived at airport 1/2 hour early and no one was there to greet us. Waited around and finally had to contact Carnival since boat was leaving the port at 4pm. When someone finally came for pickup we were told we weren't on the paperwork. Arrived at port 3:45 so there weren't any lines. Must say Carnival has the best room upgrades. Ship is very nice and clean. The restrooms by pool get dirty but I've seen this on other ships also.

Entertainment: Something always going on. Good late night adult comedy shows.

Food: The food in dining room was especially good on this ship. Portions were good size and dining staff was prompt with bringing seconds on the lobster tails and anything else we wanted. The pork chop was excellent one night. Excellent service in the dining room. The cheeseburgers at the pool for lunch are also good. The buffet at the Horizon Grill is your typical buffet food, although they did offer a different theme daily. No complaints about the food on this cruise

Cabin: Good location. Ship is smaller so all cabins are probably good locations. Never did meet the room stewart, but room was very clean with robes hanging in the closet and a different towel animal each night. Anytime I needed something I left a note for him and it was there.

Ports of call: Grand Cayman- Been there twice before so not a problem People are always nice and island is pretty.

Ocho Rios was our other stop. Was a little hesitant about what to do. One diner at our dinner table had been robbed there previously. Decided on shopping at the Island Village and Margaritaville. It is only a five minute walk from the ship. There is a lot of poverty and drugs. That five minute walk involved someone wanting to take us for a drive into town and an offer for drugs. Proceed with caution--only use taxis with red license plates. The shops are very nice and no one bothers you. There is a small beach there for a small fee. Vendors are only permitted on the beach one at a time.

All in all I would cruise this ship again. It was nice to be on a smaller ship. The atrium is also very beautiful. The casino is small though for those that like to gamble.
